Bespoke furniture restoration and woodwork at surprisingly low prices.
A not-for-profit social enterprise run by the addiction recovery charity Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT), Restoration Station helps people through their recovery from addiction by offering opportunities to learn new skills while enjoying the satisfaction of reviving furniture.
Trainees not only get the satisfaction of creative work, their confidence is built up by getting better at what they do and also by talking to people in the shop. This gives them a much-needed routine and structure which supports their on-going recovery from addiction, helping to avoid relapse and prepares their move into paid work. Order something unique, made to measure with reclaimed materials, or have wooden furniture fixed, restored or transformed at a reasonable price, get in touch.
Restoration Station benefits hugely from grants, help from volunteers and generous donations of furniture with no government funding taking on a wide range of commissions with work from private clients, local shops, cafés, restaurants and creative spaces.
