After 50 years in the art world Martin Whatley decided to pursue his interest in mid-century glass and in 2017 he combined his two passions and established Nightingale Art & Design. The aim of this new venture was to unite mid-century European glass and ceramics with 20th Century art and show how elegant, simple design and colour can enhance a modern home.

Nightingale always selects glass and ceramics of the best quality and condition. These range from sleek Scandinavian designs to more flamboyant pieces from Murano.

Nightingale’s collection of Modern British pictures includes oils and works on paper by a number of Royal Academicians as well as works by other established artists.
