John Hollington Design is a small award-winning designer maker studio in York whose lighting and homeware is inspired by the clean lines and geometrical forms of Bauhaus design, modernist art and architecture.
We combine attention to detail, simplicity of form and luxurious materials to produce products that, if cherished, will last a lifetime – a sustainable concept in our throwaway culture.
We are proud to support Britain’s rich heritage of quality manufacturing and artisan crafts, such as metal spinning, with the UK manufacture of all our designs. We have a ‘cradle to cradle’ environmental philosophy using recycled materials such as brass and aluminium which, in turn, are 100% recyclable.
We hold standard lighting in stock, in a range of luxurious and utilitarian styles and finishes. Our bespoke service offers further variations in design, detail, material and colour. We carry out commissions and collaborations for interior designers and architects.
