Claire Alderdice Textiles, a brand specialising in bespoke contemporary hand tufted rugs and printed textiles was launched by Bedfordshire based Northern Irish designer Claire Marijewycz (née Alderdice) in 2015.
Alderdice studied Woven Textiles at the Scottish School of Textiles in Galashiels before moving to London in 2005 to complete her Masters in Textile Design at the famous Chelsea College of Art.
Fascinated with rhythmical growth patterns in nature, the designer loves the relationship between order and chaos. Alderdice's designs playfully unite symmetry with unpredictability, with patterns like her favourite hexagon appearing to change subtly as if looking through a kaleidoscope.
These signature geometric morphing patterns, on her range of bold and colourful cushions, bolsters, lampshades, tube lights and melamine tableware, are all designed to pack a punch with a retro twist.
